The Spar Irene Lantern 10km is the very first leg of the 2018 Irene Triple Challenge. The other legs are the Clover Irene Spring Run 21km on 29 September and the King Price Irene Farm Race 21km on 28 October. Entrants for the Triple Challenge, who complete all three races in 2018, will again receive a high quality T-shirt and a special shield to fit all three medals.
Come and enjoy an evening in the country with us. An unforgettable running and/or walking experience in the safe farm atmosphere of the Irene ARC Campus will melt away all stress. The lantern-lit route is the "only true blue romantic run" as quoted from Tom Cottrell's Runners Guide. Our lantern race is the best supported 10 km night race in South Africa over the past seven years, having almost 4000 runners. Make sure you don't miss out on this unique experience. Everyone, fit or non-fit are welcome to participate on this wonderful evening. Due to this being such a large event, early arrival is essential as the race will start promptly at 19:00. |
